BROAKLAND

I always call it Broakland The Musical - cause it’s as much accident as intent - at the end of the day, it’s just a couple guys, pooling resources to create something they can be proud of and enjoy, but everything starts somewhere - so - I was lucky, to meet Jason Grove in the summer of 2005 - most Friday nights, we’d have a pretty fast ride out to Richmond Marina and back - we’d meet at MontanoVelo or Black and White Liquor on San Pablo and ride all night. I like that we met on that ride. To me, it comes from a place of true bicycle enjoyment. We hit it off - not just as friends but as entrenched role players on a team strong counterparts to the process of creating these frames. We presented our very first frame in the 2006 San Jose NAHBS and we’ve been making them, one at a time, ever since and will continue as long as we can. It’s a labor of love, this - any small operation will say the same - it’s just us, making something we’d love to ride and sharing it - and kinda, all we really know how to do.
